My first plunge into the sea this year! The water is only up till my waste, when I notice a wasp drowning in front of me. I scoop her up as fast as I can and run back to the beach. Thankfully she is still alive. She starts drying her skin with her hands and arms immediately. I watch her for a good fifteen minutes, before she starts buzzing her wings. But no luck yet, so more rubbing ensues. When it’s time for me to go home, I bring her with me on my towel and as we’re nearing the dunes, she suddenly takes off. May luck be with you…
